I’m Kali Sudbrook. After 12 years as a Fitness Director at UC Irvine, and Kinesiology Professor at Cal State Fullerton, I built Beachside to solve a problem I kept seeing: gyms treated like an afterthought in otherwise beautiful homes. I design fitness and recovery spaces with the same intentionality as kitchens and primary baths, because the room only works if you actually want to use it.
My advantage is that I’m not only designing the room- I understand how it gets built. That means clearances that work in real framing, electrical plans that match equipment loads, ventilation that holds up under heat and humidity, and materials that perform under daily use.
