Cuirim Sports Recovery | Clinic Expansion
Where a growing recovery practice outgrew its walls, and the remodel gave it room to breathe.
The Challenge
Cuirim Sports Recovery had built a loyal following in a space that could no longer keep up with demand. At just 560 square feet, the original clinic layout left little room for the activities, equipment, and flow that the practice needed to grow. Beachside Custom Gyms was brought in to design and build an expansion that would nearly double the footprint to over 1,000 square feet, transforming a tight, dated clinic into an open, modern recovery space.
The real challenge was the timeline. The Cuirim team needed the remodel done quickly and with as little disruption to their client experience as possible. That meant coordinating trade partners tightly and working around the clock so the practice could stay open and keep serving clients while construction moved fast around them.
The Design Solution
The new floor plan opened the space up significantly, creating room for a wider range of recovery activities without the layout feeling cramped or segmented. Every square foot of the added space was planned with function first, giving the Cuirim team room to work the way they actually treat clients, not just more square footage for its own sake.
The showpiece of the remodel is a stretch ceiling with custom stretch ceiling lighting, installed in partnership with Blueprint Electric. It gives the main space a clean, elevated look while doing double duty as functional lighting, replacing what had been a flat, dated ceiling with something that immediately signals a higher standard of care.
The Reception Refresh
The front desk and reception area got a full facelift, since it’s the first thing every client sees walking in the door. What had been an afterthought became a genuine first impression, aligned with the same modern, refined vibe carried through the rest of the clinic. It’s a small footprint with an outsized effect on how clients experience the practice before treatment even begins.
The Look + Feel
The design leans into a refined modern aesthetic: clean lines, open sightlines, and a palette that feels calm and clinical without losing warmth. The stretch ceiling and linear lighting tie the whole space together, while the expanded floor plan gives the practice room to grow into its next chapter.
The result is a recovery clinic that looks and feels like the caliber of care Cuirim already provides, a space that finally matches the practice’s reputation.
